Bald Eagle, Independence Day and Change

The Bald Eagle is so respected and a symbol for America. This bird can live to 70 years old. But in order to live that long has to go through a painful change at the age of 40. Just like we have many painful changes in our lives. Except change and don't dwell on the past. This 4th of July, count your blessings and celebrate. (This was sent to me and thought it was worth sharing.)

When it rains, most birds head for shelter; the eagle is the only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, starts flying above the clouds...

An amazing tidbit about the Eagle's eyesight: The eagle can probably identify a rabbit moving almost a mile away. That means that an eagle flying at an altitude of 1000 feet over open country could spot prey over an area of almost 3 square miles from a fixed position.

No wonder God wants us to spread our wings and soar with eagles.

God Bless all who share this.

Squidoo has brought fireworks in my life. July 4th will be three years there. See what changes Squidoo and sandyspider has gone through. Three Years on Squidoo

40th Wedding Anniversary

Anyone who has been married for forty years should be congratulated.

This is a little joke that was sent to me in an email. Thought it was well worth sharing it with you.

40 Years of Marriage

A married couple in their early 60s were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little restaurant.

Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their table. She said, 'For being such an exemplary married couple and for being loving to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.'

The wife answered, 'Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling husband.

The fairy waved her magic wand and - poof! - two tickets for the Queen Mary II appeared in her hands.

The husband thought for a moment: 'Well, this is all very romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come again. I'm sorry my love, but my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me.

The wife, and the fairy, were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a wish.

So the fairy waved her magic wand and poof!...the husband became 92 years old.

The moral of this story: Men who are ungrateful bastards should remember fairies are female.
